Michelle loved life. She enjoyed traveling, dining out, camping, horseback riding, sailing and trips to the beach. She valued her family and for the past twenty years, Michelle considered her housemates and the people who supported her as her family, as well.
Michelle cherished and benefited from her time at Meeting Street School, Pleasant View, and Birch Vocational at Mt. Pleasant High School in Providence. Michelle worked at a variety of different jobs, always eager to try new things.
Michelle was known for her sense of humor and a smile that touched everyone she met. Michelle's life was not without struggles. As her nephew, Jameson, remarked after her passing, "a beautiful thing with Aunt Michelle, her body was really the only thing that inhibited her, her mind and soul were beautiful. Now what lives on is her mind and soul, the best part of her. She will always have that and so will we".
Her family would like to thank the staff of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Rhode Island Hospital and all who supported Michelle, for their compassion and care.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 10 am from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be at St.Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Maceroni Funeral Home from 4 pm-7pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michelle's memory may be made to The Fogarty Center, 310 Maple Avenue Suite 102 Barrington, RI 02806.
