NANCY M. SIMONELLI (MARTINO) 92, of Gallway St.,Warwick, where she lived for 25 years, passed away Monday, November 6, 2006, at West Shore Health Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Enrico R. Simonelli. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Genovina (Manocchia) Martino.
Nancy volunteered at Buttonwoods Senior Center, Pilgrim Senior Center and Child Reach, all of Warwick; Jonah Community Center of Oakland Beach and at the former Golden Ages Senior Center in East Greenwich.
She was the beloved, devoted and cherished mother of Genevieve A. Gasbarro and her husband John Gasbarro of Warwick and the late Enrico L. Simonelli, Sr.; the sister of Joseph “Joe” Martino, Amelia “Molly” Fraioli and the late Americo Martino and Angelina “Angie” Martino, the beloved grandmother of Angela M. Simonelli, Sharon A. Busch, Enrico L. Simonelli, Jr. and the late Lorraine T. Simonelli and the beloved mother in law of Carol Simonelli. She also leaves two beloved great grandsons. The funeral will be held Friday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. VISITATION Thursday 4-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
