Nicholas Minutelli

Nicholas J. Minutelli, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted and cherished husband of JoAnn (Procaccini) Minutelli for 62 years. Born in Providence, Nick was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Buffardi) Colardo.

Nick was a loving father to Anthony Minutelli, Sr. and his wife Carla, Lisa Pezzuco and her husband Ronald. He was a proud grandfather to Anthony, Jr., Nicholas and Alec Minutelli, Lauren (Pezzuco) Konieczny and her husband Jeff and Michael and Alyssa Pezzuco. He was also the brother to the late Joseph Minutelli, Mathew Colardo and Dottie Campanile. He was the brother-in-law to Edward Perrotta and the late Linda Perrotta. 

For many years, Nick worked for the United States Postal Service before retiring in 2000. After his retirement, he continued to serve others as a driver for RIPTA Ride for 15 years. Nick was a proud Army Veteran.

Nick loved traveling with his wife on their yearly trips to Ogunquit, Lake George and Atlantic City. He also looked forward to the group bus trips that they shared with their friends. Every month, Nick and his closest friends would go to a local restaurant which they referred to as their “boys’ night out”. Aside from being with his friends, Nick’s happiest moments were spent with his family whether it was a holiday, cookout or simply a visit to his home.

The family would like to express their heartfelt and sincere appreciation to Nick’s dedicated CNAs, Ileana, Dashanell, and Kathy, and the entire staff at the Johnston Dialysis Center. Their exceptional care, support, and consistent display of love and respect have made a significant difference during Nick’s time of need. The family is deeply grateful for the compassion and professionalism shown by each and every one of them, which provided both comfort and peace throughout this journey.

Nick’s funeral will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Please omit flowers.
