Palma “Pam” (Macedonio) Larney, 66, of Cranston, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Monday, March 10, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of John “Jack” Larney. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria (Corsetti) Macedonio.
Pam had worked as an EKG Supervisor at St. Joseph Hospital in Providence for 40 years. In 1960 she was a member of the first open heart team at the hospital. As a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, she was a volunteer visitor to the Institute of Mental Health in Cranston. She also participated in Meals on Wheels and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.
Besides her husband of 45 years, she leaves three brothers, Anthony, Robert and Louis Macedonio; three sisters, Anne Cottle, Phyllis Altieri and Evelyn Tedeschi and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Immaculate Conception Church, Garden Hills Dr. at the intersection of Oaklawn Ave., Cranston. VISITATION Thursday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
