Patricia A. DeRobbio (Gasbarro), 73, of North Providence, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 29, 2009. She was the beloved wife of Dr. A. Vincent DeRobbio. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Teresa (Petrone) Gasbarro.
Patricia was a clerk with the Rhode Island Department of Health and Human Services. She was a 1954 graduate of St. Xavier High School and received an Associate Degree from Brookdale Community College and a C.A.C. from Rutgers University, both in New Jersey.
Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters, Patti-Dee Cioe and her husband Ronald of East Greenwich, Michele Kovacs and her husband Charles of Manchester, NJ, Sandra Manco of Cranston and Tracy Laranjo of Johnston; a brother, Eugene Gasbarro, a sister, Irene Spirito; eight grandchildren, Nicholas and Christopher Cioe, Jillian Mancini, Anthony, John and Elisha Cunha and Vincent and Tyler Laranjo and a great granddaughter, Ava Mancini.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., Warren. Visitation Thursday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Santa Maria Del Campo Cemetery, Barrington. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Anthony Society, 148 Harrison Ave., Garfield, NJ 07026.
