Paul Rizzo

April 26, 1941 — August 21, 2024

Paul F. Rizzo, 83, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Morgan Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was the beloved husband of Marcia (Haun) Rizzo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Guy and Rita (Costigan) Rizzo.

Paul was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, Class of 1959. He was active in the North Providence community as a coach for the Youth Softball and High School Hockey leagues.

Paul’s life career was in the racing and gaming industry. He was a Jockey Agent for 30 years, worked at Lincoln Park as the Assistant Administrator to the General Manager and Concierge for the Exclusive Guy Rizzo Racing Room, and worked at various racing facilities in New England. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Paul Rizzo and his wife Donna, Kerri Van Bemmelen, Marc Rizzo and his wife Susan, David Rizzo and his wife Karen, and Christopher Rizzo; his grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, Gaetano, Marc, Paul, Angelo, Biagio, Jessica, Kathryn, Luccia, Alena and Michaela; and a great-granddaughter, Ada Grace. He was the brother of the late Robert Rizzo.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Morgan Health & Rehabilitation Center, with a special thanks to Dana Silvestri, Maurizio “Mario” Marchese, Altagracia Fana and Jennifer Houser, for their care and compassion in his final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial services will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
