PETER P. GRANIERI, JR., 84, of North Providence, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2006, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Ernestine (Pennine) Granieri. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter P. Granieri, Sr. and Rosella (Scrano) Granieri.
Peter was a licensed Professional Engineer and had been Director of Public Works for the Cities of Central Falls, Providence, Pawtucket and Woonsocket. He had also been the director of the Providence Water Supply Board. He retired at age 80 but continued in his consulting work. He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island. He was a WWII Army Veteran.
He leaves three daughters, Gail House, Karen Granieri and Mary Granieri; three grandchildren and a great granddaughter. He was the brother of the late Alfred Granieri.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday at 10am in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. VISITATION Monday 5-8pm at the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
