Philip Grossi, 82, of Lincoln, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Woonsocket Health Center. He was the beloved husband of Carmella M.( D’Alessio) Grossi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Tomasina (Caparco) Grossi.
Philip had worked for the North Providence School Department before retiring. He was a United States Marine Veteran of WWII.
Besides his wife of 62 years, he leaves four sons, Philip T. Grossi, Jr., Richard A. Grossi, Joseph W. Grossi and John P. Grossi and his wife Barbara with whom he resided; a daughter, Janice DiCostanzo; a sister, Teresa McSoley; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Joseph and John Grossi, Angela Calise, Catherine Quinn and Evelyn Pernorio.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Jude Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln. VISITATION Wednesday 4-7pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
