Rachel Lafleur (Dubois-Folan), of North Providence, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2007, following a courageous 18-month battle against stomach cancer. She was the loving wife of Donald Lafleur for the last eight years. Rachel was a friend of Bill W. and was a caring and loving woman who never hesitated to help others.
She was the daughter of the late Marie Jeanne Dubois (Poulin) and Henry Dubois. She lived in Pawtucket most of her life and moved to North Providence six years ago. She was employed by the State of Rhode Island for the last nine years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Christine Pezzullo (Folan) and her husband Michael and Jennifer Folan of Pawtucket; her brother Henry Dubois and his wife Antonella of Colorado and her sister, Marie Durigan (Dubois) and her husband Kevin of Cranston. The loves of her life were her grandchildren, Aidan Everette and Ella Pezzullo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and her former husband, David Folan of Pawtucket.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 9am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Lawrence Church, Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow immediately at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. VISITATION Monday, July 2, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
