Richard L. Cervone, MD, 63, of Cranston, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Lori (Dantone) Cervone. Born in Providence, he was the son of Anthony and Mary (Borrelli) Cervone. Rick was a lifelong learner. He began his career as a physical education teacher in Providence, RI. He then furthered his education by becoming a Chiropractor with offices in Providence and Cranston. As he cultivated his Chiropractor practice, he achieved a lifelong dream of becoming a medical doctor. He was a highly respected and renowned neurologist in Rhode Island, who treated his patients with the utmost care and respect. He recently completed an intensive program at Harvard Medical School to deepen his understanding and management of neurological disorders. Rick was a true family man. He deeply loved and cared for his family. He was a treasured friend to all. He was a gourmet chef, who enjoyed sharing his recipes with his family and friends. He enjoyed musical pursuits as well. Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughters, Kendra Cervone Maynard, and her husband Kenneth, and Taylor Cervone; a brother, Anthony L. Cervone, Esq.; a sister, Lynne Cervone DiPadua, and a granddaughter, Lily Maynard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 10 am in St. Mark Church, 9 Garden Crt., Cranston. Burial will be private.
