Richard W. Jalbert, 95, of Providence, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 at Briarcliffe Manor in Johnston. He was the beloved husband of the late Norma (Varone) Jalbert. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Walter and Irene (Arcan) Jalbert.
He served in WWII in the Navy as a fire control specialist on several submarines. He was a developer, realtor and appraiser for 55 years. He had a love for racing his Corvettes and won the SCCA New England Championship.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Volino and her husband Michael; two sisters, Carolyn Reid-Sale and Beverly Bartley; a granddaughter, Heather Murphy, and three great-grandchildren, Max LaCombe, Madeline Plante and Marguerite Plante. He was the brother of the late Donald Jalbert and Elaine Mollicone.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St, North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
