Robert E. Sullivan, 84, of North Providence passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at home. He was the beloved husband of Loretta (Alessandro) Sullivan. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Powers) Sullivan. Robert was a foreman for several local manufacturing companies for many years. He was a proud Korean War era veteran and a long term member of the RI Army National Guard. He had a lifelong passion for flying, in his early years he flew his own plane to spot fish along Narragansett Bay for local fisherman. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert Sullivan and Richard Sullivan and his wife Kelly; his daughters, Linda Giorgio and her husband Steven and Barbara Corrente and her husband Michael, and six grandchildren, Steven Giorgio, Michael, Anthony, Alana and Alyssa Corrente and Isabella Sullivan. He was the brother of the late Edward Sullivan and Mildred LeDuke. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 4th St., North Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial with Military Honors will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
