Rose M. Fitzsimmons

Rose M. Fitzsimmons (Petreccia), 91, of Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Home and Hospice Care in Providence on Friday, March 18, 2016. She was the beloved wife of George H. Fitzsimmons. They were happily married for 65 years. She was the loving mother of the late Francis Fitzsimmons. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Nicola and Ersilia (Fuoco) Petreccia.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Joseph and John Fitzsimmons, Rita Rose and Mary Maloney; and sisters, Antonetta Gill and Carmela Vellucci. She is also survived by 10 cherished grandchildren and 3 dear great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Louis, Vincent and Mary Petreccia, Angelina Kiley and Anna Marcone. We would like to thank Cortland Place for all their love and support.

Visiting hours will be held Monday MORNING , March 28, 2016 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
