Ruth I. Carrazzo

Ruth I. (Wood) Carrazzo, 93, of North Providence, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ferdinand "Fred" Carrazzo.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Ruth (Anderson) Wood. Mrs. Carrazzo worked at the Atlantic Mills Flea Market with her husband and also worked for various jewelry manufacturers before retiring.  She enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by three sons, Paul Chappelle, Frederick "Fred" Carrazzo and William Carrazzo; two daughters, Carmella Burns and Phyllis Francis; two sisters, Ada Molteni and Rose Wood; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.  She also leaves her daughter-in-law and caregiver, Lin Carrazzo, with whom she resided for over 25 years.  She was the sister of the late Eugene Wood, William Wood and Evelyn M. Houser. Visitation will be held Tuesday Morning, July 10, 2018 from 9 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. in the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Atwells Ave., Providence.  Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
