Salvatore "Papa Sal" Coppa

Salvatore Coppa “Papa Sal”, 84, a lifelong resident of Providence, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the VA Medical Center in Providence. He was the son of the late Giovanni “John” Coppa and Rosa (Iacono) Coppa.
Mr. Coppa was owner and operator of Sal’s Lounge in North Providence. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and received Full Military Honors at his burial.
He leaves two daughters, Laura Gonzales and her husband Antonio and Elizabeth Daniel and four grandchildren, Tyler Rego, Michael Cogean, Mary Cogean and Michael Nicholson.
His funeral and Burial were private.
