Silvio Pompei, 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, November 29, 2015. He was the beloved husband of the late Gilda (Folco) Pompei.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Carolina (Cestrone) Pompei.
Silvio was a toolmaker for many years before his retirement. He was an Army Veteran serving during WWII.
He is survived by his loving children, Gregory Pompei and Julieann Wilson and her husband John. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Jillian and Jack Wilson. He was the devoted brother of the late Armando Pompei, Jenny O’Tocki and Nancy Imondi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 10am at Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
