Steve McGuinness Jr.

J. STEPHEN McGUINNESS, Jr. “Steve”, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Home & Hospice Care of RI on Saturday, November 28, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Barbara L. (Ford) McGuinness for 52 wonderful years and loving father of the late J. Stephen McGuinness, III.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late J. Stephen and Madeline (Davey) McGuinness.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Bryant College in Accounting and worked as a public accountant and a controller in private industry before retiring.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Robin and her husband Luigi Porreca, Kerri and her husband Mark Martello, Erin and her husband Joseph Deady, and Jeffrey McGuinness and his wife Jessica; 2 sisters, Joyce Reilly and Lynne Sweet and 12 cherished grandchildren, Luigi Porreca Jr. and his wife Ariana, Stephen Porreca and his girlfriend Meghan Zajaczkowski, Jason Porreca, Michael and Matthew Martello, Kyle Deady and his girlfriend Bridget Moran, Joshua and Seth Deady, Jeffrey Jr., Alicia, Shilah, and Isabella McGuinness.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 9am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Ave., Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Tuesday, December 1st from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 N.
