Thomas J. Caramante

Thomas J. Caramante, 79, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of Jeannie (Colatacci) Caramante. Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph Caramante and Carmella (Valletta) Caramante Cerce.
Thomas worked for the former Providence Gas Company for 40 years before retiring.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Michael Caramante and his wife Kristen, Joseph Caramante and his wife Kelly, two grandchildren, Mason and Madison, two sisters Paula R. Schiavuli and Marie S. Engley and her husband William. He was the father of the late Thomas J. Caramante, Jr. and brother-in-law of the late Michael Schiavulli.
His funeral will be held Friday, January 19, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Burial with will be in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 4- 7 p.m.
