Thomas A. Geer, 89, of Providence, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 6, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Agnes (Cerio) Geer for 65 years and was the youngest son of the late Seth and Mary (Sullivan) Geer. Mr. Geer was a retired Postal Clerk from the Providence Post Office. He was a decorated US Army Veteran having served during World War II, Korea and Vietnam prior to his Honorable Discharge as a Master Sergeant. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two children, Thomas A. Geer, Jr. (Elizabeth), Constance M. Murgo (Paul), four grandchildren, Thomas A. Geer III, Paul M. Murgo, Thomas G. Murgo and Pamela A. Murgo and four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Joseph, John and Robert Geer. His funeral will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 8 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, Eaton St., Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
