Viola Marburger

Viola F. Marburger, 95, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Capitol Ridge at Providence. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Tomasina (Pecci) Tomaselli. Viola was a very outgoing and independent woman. She was fun loving, very thoughtful, kind and generous and always had lots of friends. She was a world traveler and was never afraid to do or try anything new. Viola worked at the Providence VA Medical Center for many years, before retiring. Prior to that, she worked for the US Federal government in Tehran, Iran and in Texas, the US Department of Labor and the Texas State Department of Welfare. She is survived by her daughter, Lenora Gurton and her husband Edward; her niece, Donna Payer and her husband Rick and their children; Sonia and Dom as well as many more nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
