William W. Jonah, 77, of Johnston, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at The Miriam Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Grace M. (Box) Jonah for 49 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George and Josephine (Kolodzijiczk) Jonah.
Bill spent many years managing his rental properties. He loved kite flying, kayaking and enjoyed a good party. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his cherished daughter, Jennifer Fredette and her husband, Richard of Warwick and his three treasured grandchildren, Roman, Camille and Haley Fredette. He was the loving brother of Jerilyn Falk and her husband Steven Falk of North Scituate; he was the brother in law to Gertrude (Box) Sarli of Johnston and Joseph Box of Johnston. He was the beloved uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday Morning, July 7, 2021, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
