Born in Providence, he was preceded in death by his loving parents, Joseph S. Ricci and Mary (Arcuri) Ricci, of Riverside, his sister Karen Lee (Robert) and brother Joseph S. Ricci, Jr. (Phyllis), both of Seekonk.
Bill is survived by his beloved companion of over 30 years, Joan Crugnale of Smithfield; his son, William Ricci, Jr. of Providence; Joan's son, Jeffrey Campbell of Johnston; his sisters Marilyn Hassell (William) and Kathleen Mott (Victor), both of Riverside; his brothers Gary (Jennifer) of Hawaii and Robert (Billie) of Florida; as well as by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was previously married to Brenda Amaral of Washington.
Having a tremendous work ethic, Bill was employed by his father since his teens as a contractor, later working in management at Able Bituminous and at The Hudson Companies, before owning and operating several residential and commercial contracting companies in Riverside and Seekonk.
A kind and gentle man, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and lifelong friends. He attended East Providence High School. He enjoyed league bowling at The Cranston Bowl, as well as playing golf and softball. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially the Boston Bruins, New England Patriots, and NASCAR.
His funeral will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave, Providence. Inurnment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 4 – 7 p.m. Friends and family are welcome.

The family would like to thank Continuum Hospice & Palliative Care, particularly RN case manager, Rebecca; Spiritual Counselor, Justin; Social Worker, Elise; and CNA, Tiffany, for the dedication and compassion shown to Bill and to our family.
