Zephur Hagopian

Zephur Hagopian, 96, passed away peacefully at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre on Monday, September 17, 2018.  She was the wife of the late Stephen Hagopian.  Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Aram and Varsenig (Papazian) Deradoorian. Mrs. Hagopian worked as a jewelry assembler for Spiedel before retiring. She was a 1940 Graduate of Hope High School, enjoyed singing Alto with The Armenian Choral Group of RI and was a parishioner of St. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church her entire life.  A loving mother and grandmother she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Alaina.  She is survived by her four children, Doreen Pagliaro and her husband Christopher, Donna Kobielus and her husband Thomas, Stephen Hagopian and his wife Dianne and Denise Hagopian; a brother, Aram Deradoorian; a sister, Joyce Gill; and her granddaughter, Alaina Pagliaro.  She was the sister of the late Alice Kamajian. Visitation will be held Friday Morning, September 21, 2018 from at 9 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. in the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Vartanantz Church, 402 Broadway, Providence.  Interment will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Hagopian's memory may be made to: PLAN RI, 51 Puritan Dr., Warwick, RI  02888.
